About the event

Training Day: Devotional (Guest Speaker: Jay Trombley)

Join us for our Training Day: Devotional, a unique 3-hour event created for church safety team members, law enforcement officers, and responsible citizens who are committed to strengthening both their preparedness and their walk with Christ.

This month's special guest speaker is Jay Trombley, who will share his firsthand account of the tragic church shooting at CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan, where he was forced to make the unthinkable decision to take the life of an armed attacker in order to protect innocent worshippers. His testimony offers a rare and powerful perspective on the spiritual, emotional, and practical realities of defending others in a house of worship. We are honored to have Jay share his story and believe every church safety team member should hear this life-changing message.

In addition to this impactful devotional, attendees will receive practical training focused on firearms and less-lethal preparedness, reinforcing the mindset, skills, and responsibility required to protect those entrusted to our care.

We recognize that many churches, police departments, and businesses may not have the resources to provide regular training for their entire safety team. That's why we're offering an opportunity for individuals to receive quality instruction in a supportive, faith-centered environment.

During this session, you'll spend time on the range working through practical drills designed to enhance your firearms skills and confidence. We'll also open God's Word together for a devotional focused on encouraging and equipping those who serve in church safety ministries.

Pistol and Rifle Registration is $85 per person (to cover travel costs for Jay) and includes:

  • Professional range training

  • Pistol ammunition

  • Devotional and biblical encouragement

  • Fries Consulting training credit hours certificate upon completion

  • Indiana Law Enforcement Academy training credits for active LE officers upon completion

  • Above package with 5.56 ammunition provided (rifles on-site for use as well)

  • Meet and greet guest speaker

Whether you're new to your church safety team, police department, firearms, or have years of experience, this training is an opportunity to sharpen your skills, deepen your faith, and connect with others who share your commitment to serving and protecting their church community.
