Deterring an Active Threat

Formerly known as "Active-Shooter Training"

From 29.95 US dollars
Hosted at your church, business, school, or venue

Service Description

Your church/business can host this scenario training for your people and guests alike, if you choose. This is an 8-hour comprehensive program developed to prepare against protesters, unruly crowds, violent encounters, domestic/child custody disputes, & critical incidents. The host church fee is $2,795, regardless of the number of attendees. To help offset this investment, outside guests may attend for $29.95 per person. Revenue generated from outside ticket sales is applied toward the host church’s cost, allowing the final cost of the training to be significantly reduced based on attendance. We take a realistic, hands-on approach by bringing our instructors directly into your facility and—when appropriate and approved (not required)—utilizing blank gunfire to create the sensory stress of real-world conditions. This allows your team to experience how sound behaves in your hallways, rooms, offices, and sanctuary spaces, giving you unmatched insight into your building's security strengths and weaknesses. Classroom Instruction Current nationwide protester trends, and on-going threat trends Lessons learned from recent protester incidents, active threats, and attacks Behavioral indicators and pre-attack warning signs of offenders Roles, responsibilities, and communication during emergencies Liability mitigation This session builds the foundation for what you need to know before developing or updating response plans. 2. Skills Development Participants learn and practice the core components of the Run, Hide/Barricade, Fight model. We teach effective, practical techniques your team can use immediately, including: Prioritizing rapid evacuation Improvised barricading methods Coordinated team movement Disruption strategies when escape and hiding are no longer options This is dynamic, confidence-building, and essential for effective response. 3. Realistic Role-Play Scenarios Everything is put together in scenario-based training using your actual building's layout. Our instructors run controlled, realistic role-play exercises—some with blank gunfire or ShotBox technology. Include: Applying Run/Hide/Barricade/Fight principles in an active threat Moving/communicating under pressure Responding to gaps based on real building features Decisions as a unified team Conflict de-escalation Domestic/child custody disputes Tactical considerations for room clearing Force-on-force Parking lot safety Laser training pistols are used if your team has a civilian armed response.
